We’re pleased to welcome Dr. Yana Brayman, board-certified psychiatrist, to NY Mental Health Center.
Dr. Brayman brings extensive experience across inpatient, outpatient, community mental health, and telepsychiatry settings. She has held clinical and leadership roles in hospital systems, community health centers, and large behavioral health organizations, where she has provided thoughtful, patient-centered psychiatric care to adults with a wide range of mental health needs.
Her approach to treatment is integrative and practical, combining medication management with therapy-informed care, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to support patients’ overall well-being. Dr. Brayman is known for her collaborative style, taking time to understand each individual’s concerns, goals, and life context when developing treatment plans.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Brayman has served in leadership and teaching roles, supervising clinicians and contributing to the education of medical trainees. She is board certified in both Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry and is fluent in Russian and Ukrainian.

Dr. Brayman is currently accepting new patients via telepsychiatry. She accepts Aetna, Anthem, BCBS, Cigna and UnitedHealthcare / Optum.
