Dr. Alyssa Vincentz

Summary: Dr. Alyssa Vincentz is a licensed clinical psychologist with extensive experience working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, grief, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and other emotional challenges. Over the course of her career, she has worked in outpatient, inpatient, hospital, and Veterans Affairs settings with individuals facing a wide range of psychological, medical, and life circumstances.

Dr. Vincentz has particular experience helping people who have experienced trauma or significant stress, as well as those adjusting to loss, health concerns, relationship challenges, and major life changes.

Dr. Vincentz’s therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. She draws primarily from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), supportive psychotherapy, and trauma-focused approaches while tailoring treatment to the individual needs, circumstances, and goals of each person she works with.

She believes therapy is most effective when clients feel comfortable being open and honest and when treatment feels relevant to the challenges they are facing in their everyday lives. Her work focuses on helping clients better understand patterns that may be contributing to distress while developing healthier and more effective ways of coping.

Working with Dr. Vincentz, clients can expect a thoughtful and supportive experience focused on helping them better understand themselves and navigate challenges more effectively. She works collaboratively with clients to identify what they would like to change and develop practical strategies for moving toward those goals.

Dr. Vincentz helps clients explore how their thoughts, emotions, experiences, and relationships may influence one another while building skills that can make difficult situations feel more manageable.
