He has worked in a major hospital system doing individual and group therapy, he has counseled veterans for the VA, and he has worked with teens and young adults. Dr. Rosa has a great track record with young adults who are struggling with transitions into college, careers, relationships, etc. On the opposite end of the spectrum, he has had great success working with senior citizens in a variety of settings. His expertise is in the treatment of trauma, anxiety and depression.

Dr. Rosa’s therapeutic approach can be best described as relational and emotion-focused. Early sessions focus on establishing a trusting and respectful relationship, which ultimately helps create a space in which all emotions are valid and worthy of processing. Whether these emotions are tied to early life events, present circumstances, or thoughts of the future, the key to understanding and improving one's mental health is to acknowledge, express, and process the emotions informing these experiences.
