Dr. Sean Frydman

Postdoctoral Fellow

Dr. Sean Frydman is a postdoctoral fellow practicing under a New York limited permit. He has extensive experience helping adults and adolescents navigate anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), interpersonal and romantic relationship challenges, depression, emotional regulation difficulties, stress/burnout, and life transitions. Sean has received advanced clinical training at nationally recognized CBT centers, with specialized experience providing Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD and evidence-based treatment for anxiety disorders. He is committed to creating a warm, collaborative environment where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to make meaningful, lasting changes.

Dr. Frydman's therapeutic approach can best be described as warm, collaborative, and evidence-based. He believes that meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, curiosity, and mutual respect. He tailors treatment to each patient's unique needs, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and psychodynamic principles.

Working with Dr. Frydman, clients can expect a thoughtful, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where they can openly explore the challenges that have brought them to therapy. Sean works collaboratively with patients to better understand themselves, strengthen effective coping strategies, and build confidence in navigating life's difficulties.
